Meet Tyler Hardy, Your Texas Mortgage Guide
I'm Tyler Hardy, a mortgage loan officer based in College Station and licensed in Texas. I help first-time buyers, growing families, veterans, self-employed professionals, high-net-worth clients, builders, and real estate investors finance homes with clarity and confidence. My job is simple: understand where you want to go, then guide you there.
My story
I started my career in construction and mortgage lending from 2006 to 2009. Then I spent 16 years as senior pastor of Antioch Community Church in College Station, walking alongside people through marriages, births, losses, and life-changing decisions.
Construction taught me how projects come together and how to solve problems when things don't go to plan, which matters most when you're building a home, buying land, or working with a builder. Ministry taught me to listen, ask good questions, and give honest answers, including when something doesn't make financial sense.
Buying a home is one of the largest financial decisions most people ever make. I came back to mortgage lending because I wanted to help people make it well.
One fun fact: my acting career began and ended in 1994, at age 12, when I played on the rival soccer team in Disney's The Big Green, filmed here in Texas. I still have the SAG card to prove it.
Why work with me
- I explain, then advise. You'll understand your options and the trade-offs before you choose.
- I solve hard files. Self-employed income, past credit trouble, condos, land, construction, investors, and alternative documentation are where I do some of my most rewarding work.
- I follow through. Clear communication from application to closing, with no surprises at the closing table.
- I'm local, and I lend beyond it. I know Bryan–College Station deeply, and I'm licensed in Texas.
Built on Texas roots
I'm a Texas A&M graduate (Class of 2005) and have lived in Bryan–College Station for more than 20 years. I've lived in 12 Texas cities, so I understand that buying in Austin, Houston, or the Hill Country is different from buying in Aggieland. I also own rental properties myself, so I understand investor financing from the borrower's side of the table.
I'm a member of the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce.
Family
I live in the Bryan–College Station community with my wife, Ashlee, and our five children.
Who I work with
I originate loans through Supreme Lending. That gives my clients access to a wide range of loan programs and a dedicated condo review team, with me as their guide from start to finish. Spanish-language help is available through my team.
